The Patty Berg Classic was a women's professional golf tournament in Minnesota on the LPGA Tour from 1973 to 1980. Jo Ann Washam
Jo Ann Washam (May 24, 1950 – December 6, 2019) was an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Washam was born in Auburn, Washington. She played college golf and basketball at Washington State University, where she also joined the women's fraternity Alpha Gamma Delta. She was elected to the Washington State University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1982. Washam won three times on the LPGA Tour between 1975 and 1979. Washam died on December 6, 2019. Sports in Minneapolis–Saint Paul includes a number of teams. The Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings arrived in Minnesota in 1961. The Twins were formed when the Washington Senators of the American League relocated to Minnesota and the Vikings were an NFL expansion team. Sutton, Massachusetts
Sutton, officially the Town of Sutton, is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts. The population was 9,357 in the 2020 United States Census. Located in the Blackstone Valley, the town was designated as a Preserve America community in 2004. History A Nipmuc, John Wampas, visited England in the 1600s and deeded land in the Sutton area to Edward Pratt, who later sold interests to others. Sandra Palmer (golfer)
Sandra Palmer (born March 10, 1943) is an American professional golfer. She became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1964 and won 19 LPGA Tour events, including two major championships, during her career. Amateur career Palmer was born in Fort Worth, Texas, but grew up (and first played golf) in Bangor, Maine. She attended North Texas State University where she was a cheerleader and Homecoming Queen. Palmer attended North Texas State University, where she was runner-up in the 1961 National Collegiate Championship. While at North Texas State, Palmer joined Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She was a four-time winner of the West Texas Amateur and won the Texas State Amateur in 1963. Professional career Palmer turned professional and became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1964.
