Patriotic Country
Patriotic Country is a series of three albums featuring American patriotic-themed country music. The series, which has sold over 400,000 copies, is part of Music For a Cause, a record label committed to using the power of song, to help raise awareness and funds for worthy charities. By combining philanthropy with entertainment, they provide a benefit to both those in need and those who contribute. The Patriotic Country series benefits charities related to the Armed Forces such as the USO, Our Military Kids, and the Armed Forces YMCA. ''Patriotic Country'' Released in 2004, ''Patriotic Country'' was the first CD released in the Patriotic Country Series. Track 4 on the first album was exclusive to the album. Country Music
Country (also called country and western) is a genre of popular music that originated in the Southern and Southwestern United States in the early 1920s. It primarily derives from blues, church music such as Southern gospel and spirituals, old-time, and American folk music forms including Appalachian, Cajun, Creole, and the cowboy Western music styles of Hawaiian, New Mexico, Red Dirt, Tejano, and Texas country. Lonestar
Lonestar (formerly known as Texassee) is an American country music group from Nashville, Tennessee. The group consists of Drew Womack (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Michael Britt (lead guitar, background vocals), Dean Sams (keyboards, acoustic guitar, background vocals), and Keech Rainwater (drums). Britt, Sams, and Rainwater co-founded the band in 1992 with original lead vocalist Richie McDonald and bass guitarist/vocalist John Rich. Rich exited the band in 1998 and went on to join Big Kenny as one-half of the duo Big & Rich. Since his departure, Lonestar has relied alternatingly on session and touring musicians for bass guitar accompaniment. The Warren Brothers
The Warren Brothers are an American country music duo composed of brothers Brett Warren (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica, mandolin, piano) and Brad Warren (background vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar). Charles Edward Daniels (October 28, 1936 – July 6, 2020) was an American singer, musician, and songwriter. His music fused rock, country, blues and jazz, pioneering Southern rock. He was best known for his number-one country hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". Much of his output, including all but one of his eight ''Billboard'' Hot 100 charting singles, was credited to the Charlie Daniels Band. Daniels was active as a singer and musician from the 1950s until his death. "This Ain't No Rag, It's a Flag" is a song by American music group Charlie Daniels Band and released as a bonus track on their 2001 album ''Live!''. The song was written solely by Daniels and was released in November 2001 as the first and only single from the live album. This song was written in response to the September 11 attacks. Its peak position was number 33 on the US Country charts. The song is his highest-charted single since 1989's " Simple Man". Background and writing The song first gained attention when CMT refused to allow Daniels to perform it on October 21 during the Country Freedom Concert that was staged in Nashville. Hubert Neal McGaughey Jr. (born July 30, 1958), known professionally as Neal McCoy, is an American country music singer. He has released 10 studio albums on various labels, and has released 34 singles to country radio. Alabama (American Band)
Alabama is an American country music band formed in Fort Payne, Alabama, in 1969. The band was founded by Randy Owen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and his cousin Teddy Gentry (bass, backing vocals). They were soon joined by another cousin, Jeff Cook (lead guitar, fiddle, and keyboards). First operating under the name Wildcountry, the group toured the Southeast bar circuit in the early 1970s, and began writing original songs.
