Patrik Zackrisson
Patrik Zackrisson (born March 27, 1987) is a professional Swedish ice hockey centre. He is currently playing for Leksands IF of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Playing career Zackrisson spent his junior career with Frölunda HC before moving to play one season with Rögle BK in the HockeyAllsvenskan, and then signing with Linköpings HC, where he spent four seasons. Zackrisson was drafted 165th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks. Zackrisson scored his first goal in Elitserien on 27 September 2007 against Luleå HF. In the 2008 Swedish Championship finals against HV71 he was noted for three goals and one assist, his only points in the playoffs. In February 2009, Zackrisson signed a two-year contract with Linköping solidifying a place in the team until 2011. In 2011 Zackrisson signed a two-year contract with KHL club Atlant Moscow Oblast. HockeyAllsvenskan (previously Allsvenskan and SuperAllsvenskan) is a professional ice hockey sports league, league, and the second-highest league in the Swedish ice hockey system, after the Swedish Hockey League, SHL. Penalty (ice Hockey)
A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play. The offending team may not replace the player on the ice (although there are some exceptions, such as fighting), leaving them short handed, short-handed as opposed to full strength. Assist (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the Puck (sports)#In ice hockey, puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the Goal (ice hockey), goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Kontinental Hockey League
The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL; ) is an international professional ice hockey league founded in 2008. It comprises member clubs based in Russia (20), Belarus (1), Kazakhstan (1), and China (1) for a total of 23 clubs. It was considered in 2015 to be the strongest professional ice hockey league in Europe and Asia, and the second-strongest in the world behind North America's National Hockey League. 2017–18 KHL Season
The 2017–18 KHL season was the tenth season of the Kontinental Hockey League. The season started on 21 August 2017 and ended on 22 April 2018. The league accommodated a 33 day Olympic break, to allow its players to participate in the 2018 Winter Olympics in February. Team changes The Croatian club Medveščak Zagreb relocated back to the Austrian Hockey League, and Russian club Metallurg Novokuznetsk was relegated to the Supreme Hockey League, to bring the total number of KHL teams to 27. March 2018 KHL announced that two teams going to drop out after this season and next season have 25 teams. Yugra and Lada Togliatti are the teams that will not continue in KHL. National League A
The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and the highest level of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. During the 2018–19 season, the league had an average of 6,949 spectators per game which is the highest among European leagues (ahead of the KHL with 6,397 and the DEL with 6,215). The capital city's club SC Bern has been ranked first of all European clubs for 18 seasons and had an average attendance of 16,290 after the regular season. The ZSC Lions are another club in the top ten of European ice hockey attendance, ranking seventh with 9,694 spectators.
