Patrick Sanders (basketball)
Patrick Elliot Sanders (born August 27, 1985) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for Club Ferro Carril Oeste of the Argentine Liga Nacional de Básquet. He played college basketball for UC-Irvine. College career Sanders arrived at UC-Irvine after averaging 17 points and 12 rebounds per game in high school. His freshman year saw him receive minimal playing time, with Sanders averaging 1.7 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. As a sophomore, he broke into the starting lineup in the second part of the year. He went to start 19 of the final 20 games for the Anteaters. As a junior, he led the Anteaters in scoring and was named honorable mention All-Big West Conference for an effort that saw him average 11.9 points and 1.6 blocks (ranking second in the league) per game. The small forward (SF), also known as the three, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than Power forward (basketball), power forwards and Center (basketball), centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. Big West Conference
The Big West Conference (BWC) is an American collegiate List of NCAA conferences, athletic conference whose member institutions participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's NCAA Division I, Division I. The conference was originally formed on July 1, 1969, as the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA), and in 1988 was renamed the Big West Conference. The conference stopped sponsoring college football after the 2000 season. Among the conference's 11 member institutions, 10 are located in California (nine in Southern California alone), and one is located in Hawaii (though the Hawaii member is leaving for the Mountain West Conference, effective July 1, 2026). The was a professional basketball league in Japan that began in November 2005 as a six-team league. The league was operated as a competitor to the established Japan Super League which was run by the Japan Basketball Association, the official governing body of basketball in Japan. Over the next ten years the league saw continual expansion, with at least one new team joining every season, reaching 24 teams divided into two conferences in its final season in 2015–16.
