Patrick Mower
Patrick Mower (born Patrick Archibald Shaw; 12 September 1938) is an English actor. He is often known for his portrayal of Rodney Blackstock in the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'', a role he first played in 2000. Mower has extensively appeared in a wide range of films and television series, including '' Swizzlewick'', '' The Devil Rides Out'', '' Monella'', '' Callan'', '' Special Branch'' and '' Target''. Early life and education Mower was born the youngest of three boys in Oxford, to a Welsh father and an English mother, Peggy. Pressed Steel Company Limited was a British car body manufacturing business founded at Cowley near Oxford in 1926 as a joint venture between William Morris, Budd Corporation of Philadelphia USA, which held the controlling interest, and a British / American bank J. ''Bergerac'' ( ) is a British crime drama television series. Set in Jersey, it ran from 18 October 1981 to 26 December 1991. Produced by the BBC in association with the Australian Seven Network, and first screened on BBC1, it stars John Nettles as the title character Jim Bergerac, who is initially a detective sergeant in Le Bureau des Étrangers ("The Foreigners' Office", a fictional department dealing with non-Jersey residents), within the States of Jersey Police, but later leaves the force and becomes a private investigator. ''The Sweeney'' is a British police drama television series focusing on two members of the Flying Squad, a branch of the Metropolitan Police specialising in tackling armed robbery and violent crime in London.
