Patrick Maroon
Patrick Maroon (born April 23, 1988) is an American former professional ice hockey Winger (ice hockey), left winger who played in the National Hockey League (NHL). Nicknamed "Big Rig", Maroon played for the Anaheim Ducks, Edmonton Oilers, New Jersey Devils, St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks. Maroon is a three-time Stanley Cup champion, winning in three consecutive seasons (with the Blues in 2019 Stanley Cup Finals, 2019, and the Lightning in 2020 Stanley Cup Finals, 2020 and 2021 Stanley Cup Finals, 2021). Growing up in St. Louis, Maroon attended Oakville High School where he was recruited to play in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) by Kelly Chase and Al MacInnis. United States Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The United States men's national ice hockey team represents the United States in men's international ice hockey. The team is controlled by USA Hockey, the governing body for organized ice hockey in the United States. The U.S. team is currently ranked 6th in the IIHF World Rankings. Oakville High School
Oakville High School (formerly Oakville Senior High School) is a public comprehensive high school in Oakville, Missouri that is part of the Mehlville R-9 School District. History The school was developed in the 1970s. At that time the district had high enrollments and severe overcrowding at Mehlville High School, mainly due to a major population increase in the Oakville area. The temporary solution was establishing a ninth-grade center; it was housed at the district's Jefferson Barracks Building near the Jefferson Barracks Military Post, and began offering classes in September 1970. NHL Central Scouting Bureau
The NHL Central Scouting Services (CSS) is a department within the National Hockey League (NHL) that ranks prospects for the NHL entry draft at specific times during the hockey season. Players are ranked based on how well they will translate to the professional game in the NHL. It was founded by hockey executive Jack Button in 1975, to establish a centralized database of NHL prospects. Button served as the director until 1979. Its current director is Dan Marr. The Department consists of staff at the NHL Offices in Toronto, along with eight full-time scouts, and fifteen part-time scouts throughout North America. 2006 Stanley Cup Finals
The 2006 Stanley Cup Finals was the championship series of the National Hockey League's (NHL) 2005–06 season, and the culmination of the 2006 Stanley Cup playoffs. The first Stanley Cup Finals since 2004 after a lockout canceled the entirety of the 2004–05 season, it was contested between the Eastern Conference champion Carolina Hurricanes and the Western Conference champion Edmonton Oilers. It was Carolina's second appearance in the Finals, the other being in 2002, a loss to the Detroit Red Wings. It was Edmonton's seventh appearance in the Finals and their first since winning their fifth Stanley Cup in 1990. Cory Stillman
Cory Stillman (born December 20, 1973) is a Canadian professional ice hockey executive and former player. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for several teams between 1994 and 2011, winning the Stanley Cup twice. He is currently the Head Coach of the Guelph Storm. Drafted sixth overall by the Calgary Flames in 1992, Stillman was an AHL All Star with the Flames' affiliate in Saint John in 1995. As well as the Flames, he would go on to play for the St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, Carolina Hurricanes, Ottawa Senators, and Florida Panthers over his 15-year NHL career, scoring over 700 points over more than 1,000 games. The Texarkana metropolitan statistical area (MSA), as defined by the United States Office of Management and Budget, is a two-county region anchored by the twin cities of Texarkana, Texas (population 37,333) and Texarkana, Arkansas (population 30,259), and encompassing surrounding communities in Bowie County, Texas, and Miller County, Arkansas.
