Pat Howard
Patrick William Howard (born 14 November 1973) is an ex-head coach at Leicester Tigers and a former Australian rugby union international who played centre or fly-half. He was the General Manager, Team Performance – for the Australia national cricket team. He was born in Sydney. His father Jake Howard played prop for Australia and his grandfather Cyril Towers also played centre for the Wallabies. Early life He attended Marist College Ashgrove, Brisbane where he played 1st XV Rugby. He started his career playing for the University of Queensland Football club. Studying pharmacy at the university he was a recipient of a University of Queensland Sporting Scholarship. Patrick Howard (born 7 October 1947) is an English former professional footballer who played as a central defender. Howard made more than 500 appearances in the Football League for Barnsley, Newcastle United, Arsenal, Birmingham City and Bury, and also appeared in the NASL for Portland Timbers. Career Born in Dodworth, Barnsley, West Riding of Yorkshire, Howard made more than 500 appearances in the Football League. He started his career at Barnsley, spending seven seasons there before signing for Newcastle United in 1971. He reached the 1974 FA Cup Final with the Magpies, and was signed by Arsenal for £40,000 in September 1976. He made his debut against West Ham United on 11 September 1976, but did not settle at the club and after less than a year he was transfer listed with just 20 Arsenal appearances, without a single goal to his name. Patrick Benjamin Howard (born 27 March 1992) is a South African rugby union player who is currently playing for Ealing Trailinfders in the RFU Championship. He previously played for Welsh United Rugby Championship side Dragons, in the Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup, in Super Rugby and Irish province Munster. His usual position is centre or winger.
