Patrick Graham (bishop)
Patrick Graham (died 1478) was a 15th-century Bishop of Brechin and Bishop of St. Andrews; he was also the first Archbishop of St. Andrews. He was the son of Sir William Graham of Kincardine by Lady Mary Stewart, daughter of King Robert III of Scotland. He was therefore of royal blood, and the half-brother of his predecessor as bishop of St. Andrews, James Kennedy. Before rising to the rank of bishop, Patrick for many years controlled the parish church of Kinneil. Although Patrick paid for the bishopric of Brechin, his election was acknowledged by Pope Pius II, who appointed him to the see sometime before 29 March 1463. However, Patrick was not long bishop of Brechin. On 4 November 1465 Patrick was translated to the bishopric of St. Andrews by Pope Paul II, for which Patrick's proctor, a merchant of Florence called Ricardo de Ricasolis, paid over 3300 gold florins on 29 November the same year. Patrick Graham VC (1837 – 3 June 1875) was born in St Michael's Parish, Dublin and was an Irish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Details He was about 20 years old, and a private in the 90th Regiment of Foot (later The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)), British Army during the Indian Mutiny when the following deed took place for which he was awarded the VC: He died in Dublin on 3 June 1875. Sir John Patrick Graham (26 November 1906 – 5 December 1993) was a British barrister and High Court judge. A leading intellectual property law specialist, he sat in the Chancery Division of the High Court from 1969 to 1981, where he was senior Patent Judge. The son of Alexander Graham, a Shrewsbury-based barrister, and Mary Adeline Cock, Patrick Graham was educated at Shrewsbury School and Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, where he read Classics, then Law. Called to the Bar by the Middle Temple in 1930, he completed his pupillage with Lionel Heald in the chambers of Sir Stafford Cripps, which he joined. During the Second World War, Graham served with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve and later at Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force. Pat Graham (born 1970, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is an American-born photographer living in England. Graham first earned an international reputation for his photography of indie rock and punk rock musicians. His work is featured in the artwork for several notable recordings, and is also in the permanent collection at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, WA. Recent years has brought the expansion of his oeuvre into commercial photography. Education Pat Graham holds an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the University of Westminster in London, and is currently an MFA candidate at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (expected 2020). Previously he attended the University of Wisconsin for two years before leaving for Washington, DC to document the independent music scene thriving there and continuing his studies at the Northern Virginia Community College. Rear-Admiral Patrick Walter Willingdon Graham, (26 February 1915 – 31 May 1980) was a Royal Navy officer. Naval career Graham joined the Royal Navy as a cadet in 1932 and saw action in the Second World War as a signals officer and then, from 1943, as Flag Lieutenant to the Rear-Admiral Commanding the 1st Cruiser Squadron.
