Patricia Ann Dodd (born April 7, 1948) is a former figure skater who competed in ladies' singles for Great Britain. She is a three-time British national champion (1969 to 1971) and finished 15th at the 1968 Winter Olympics. Richmond Trophy
The Richmond Trophy was an international figure skating competition for Single skating, ladies' singles held annually from 1949 to 1980 at the Richmond Ice Rink in Twickenham, London. It was the only invitational international competition (as opposed to the ISU Figure Skating Championships, ISU Championships) held on a regular basis in the post-war years. The competition was sponsored by the National Ice Skating Association, National Skating Association and was largely due to the activity of Arnold Gerschwiler, coach of many champions at the Richmond rink. European Figure Skating Championships
The European Figure Skating Championships are an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU). Medals are awarded in single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The event is the sport's oldest competition. The first European Championships were held in 1891 in Hamburg, Germany, and featured one segment – compulsory figures – with seven competitors. They have been held since 1891 with only five interruptions. Women were allowed to compete for the first time in 1930, which was also when pair skating was added to the competition. Ice dance was added in 1954. The first World Championships were held in 1896 in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and they have been held ever since with only four interruptions. The 1971 European Figure Skating Championships was a senior-level international competition held at the Hallenstadion in Zürich, Switzerland on February 2–7. Elite senior-level figure skaters from European ISU member nations competed for the title of European Champion in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The pair skating event demonstrated the dominance of the Soviet Union in this discipline.
