Patient Safety Commissioner
The Patient Safety Commissioner is a UK public position, overseeing an independent advisory body of the same name. Patient Safety Commissioner For Scotland
The Patient Safety Commissioner for Scotland is a public office to provide scrutiny of care that is independent of both government and the health service. The commissioner will "advocate for systemic improvement in the safety of health care, including forensic medical examinations, in Scotland and promote the importance of the views of patients and other members of the public in relation to the safety of health care". They have a remit that covers all health care providers operating in Scotland including the NHS, NHS contracted and independent healthcare providers. Patient And Client Council (Northern Ireland)
The Patient and Client Council (PCC) was first established in 2009 as part of the Health and Social Care (Reform) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009 promotes patients' interests to the Health and Social Care. The council consists of 5 members from district councils, 5 members from voluntary organisations with an interest in health and social care, and 1 member from a trade union. Llais (Wales)
Llais is a non-departmental public body of the Welsh Government. It was first established in 2022 as part of the Health and Social Care (Quality and Engagement) (Wales) Act 2020 to promote patients' interests to the NHS Wales and social care in Wales.
