Pathik Vats
Pathik Vats also known as U. S. Pathik and Umashankar Pathik is an Indian film maker and writer. He was born in Patauda - a village in Haryana. Later his family moved to Delhi. He graduated from Ramjas College of the University of Delhi. Pathik started his career as an assistant director to filmmaker Mrinal Sen for his film ''Genesis'' starring Nasserudin Shah, Om Puri and Shabana Azmi. Pathik also wrote the dialogues with Mr. S.P. Singh for this Indo-French project which was in the official selection of Festival de Cannes. Pathik was honored in the Filmfare Awards in the best dialogues category for Aamir Khan's blockbuster Sarfarosh. He was also the associate director of Sarfarosh. Pathik was also nominated for Screen Awards, International Indian Film Academy, Sansui and Zee Cine Awards in the Best Dialogue. The Zee Cine Award (ZCA) is an annual Indian awards ceremony for the Hindi film industry. They were instituted in November 1997 to award "Excellence in cinema – the democratic way". Kavi Pradeep (born Ramchandra Narayanji Dwivedi; 6 February 1915 – 11 December 1998), was an Indian poet and songwriter who is best known for his patriotic song "'' Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo"'' written as a tribute to the soldiers who had died defending the country during the Sino-Indian War. His first recognition came for his patriotic lyrics for the film '' Bandhan'' (1940). His status as a nationalistic writer got immortalised for writing a daringly patriotic song "Door Hato Ae Duniya Walo" (Move Away O Outsiders) in India's first golden jubilee hit '' Kismet'' (1943) because he was forced to go underground to avoid arrest immediately after the film's release that invited the ire of British government.
