Pategi
Pategi or Patigi is a town and Local government in Kwara State, Nigeria with the headquarters located at the town. The town is the headquarters of Pategi Emirate. It is inhabited by the Nupe people who also exhibit a linguistic repertoire of the Yoruba dialect. They are farmers, aquatic sellers/fishers and traders. They are known to be governed by a monarch. Currently, a new Monarch, in the person of Umar Bologi II, was appointed, by the Government of the State, who happened to be a custom officer in before his appointment to the Office as the leader of Etsu Community. Settlement Pategi is a Nupe town along the banks of the Niger River. The township is located within Pategi Local Government Area. The local government is one of the largest Fadama lowlands in the state with River Niger as the primary source of water. Pategi Regatta Festival
The Patigi Regatta Fest founded in 1949 but first took place in 1952. It is a Pategi Emirate boating event in Nigeria featuring the boating races, fishing and swimming. History The fest is host at terrain of Niger River in Patigi Beach which was founded by pategi councils leader Ahman Pategi and Etsu Umaru Bologi I in 1950. The fest is an origin, historical significance and tourism which the first event took place in 1952. The event consists the featuring of residents in the bank river of Niger, Kwara and Kogi, the event consists of boat racing at Gbaradogi of the west river bank. Umar Bologi (born 8 February 1982) is the 7th Etsu Pategi, traditional ruler of Pategi Emirate succeeded late Etsu Alhaji Ibrahim Umaru Chatta and was appointed in April, 2019 by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed. Patigi Emirate is Nigeria traditional state founded 1898 by Idrissu Gana I the first monarch of the emirate, the name patigi means ' small hill ' the emirate situated in pategi local government of kwara State and the capital of Pategi. Kogi State

Uthman Dan Fodio
Usman Ɗan Fodio ( ar, عثمان بن فودي, translit=ʿUthmān ibn Fodio; 15 December 1754 – 20 April 1817) was a Fulani scholar, Sunni Islamic religious teacher, revolutionary, and philosopher who founded the Sokoto Caliphate and ruled as its first caliph.
