Passion Radio
Passion Radio is an Independent Local Radio station that broadcasts from studios in Worthing across Sussex on DAB Digital Radio and around the world on the internet. Passion Radio's origins can be traced back to 1995 when New Wave Broadcasting, a company the station's founders were involved with, submitted an application to the Radio Authority to run an FM service for Brighton. The licence application wasn't successful, but the brand reappeared in September 2000 as an internet-only station. Today, Passion Radio plays dance music from four decades mixed with local news, features and information. Presenters include former ''Big Brother 6'' housemate Eugene Sully, Ryan Morrison on drivetime, Brighton's Honey Club resident Adam H, Trance DJ Matt Darey, Graham Gold and former Atlantic 252 presenters Simon Hardwick (who is the managing director of the company) and Dave James. Atlantic 252
Atlantic 252 was an Irish longwave radio station broadcasting across Ireland and Great Britain on 252 kHz (1190 metres) from its 1988 purpose-built transmission site at Clarkstown radio transmitter, County Meath, which provided service to Atlantic 252 from 1989 until 2002. The station's studios were located 12 km (7 mi) away in Mornington House, Summerhill Road, Trim, County Meath. Atlantic 252 also had sales offices and studios at 74, Newman Street in London. After its closure, the station's former frequency and transmitter were used for the failed TEAMtalk 252 project which lasted for just a few months in 2002. From 2004, the frequency was used by RTÉ to provide a version of RTÉ Radio 1 to the expatriate community in Britain from the Clarkstown radio transmitter. More Radio Worthing (known as Splash FM from 2003 to 2016), is an Independent Local Radio station serving Worthing, Shoreham, Littlehampton and surrounding areas. It is owned and operated by Total Sense Media and broadcasts from studios at The Guildbourne Centre in Worthing, as part of a network of stations across Sussex. Hove
Hove is a seaside resort and one of the two main parts of the city of Brighton and Hove, along with Brighton in East Sussex, England. FM broadcasting is a method of radio broadcasting using frequency modulation (FM). Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM; ''mondiale'' being Italian and French for "worldwide") is a set of digital audio broadcasting technologies designed to work over the bands currently used for analogue radio broadcasting including AM broadcasting—particularly shortwave—and FM broadcasting. DRM is more spectrally efficient than AM and FM, allowing more stations, at higher quality, into a given amount of bandwidth, using xHE-AAC audio coding format. Various other MPEG-4 and Opus codecs are also compatible, but the standard now specifies xHE-AAC. Graham Gold (born 5 July 1954) is a British DJ. Gold is primarily known as a DJ whose sets were broadcast live Friday nights on Kiss and distributed on the Universal Music TV label. These weekly live broadcasts were considered revolutionary in the industry. Gold's popular weekly show played a major role in Kiss FM growing into a radio powerhouse. Gold was ranked No. 83 by Dash Berlin in Dash's "Most Popular DJs in the World of All Time." Independent Local Radio is the collective name given to commercial radio stations in the United Kingdom. As a result of the buyouts and mergers permitted by the Broadcasting Act 1990, and deregulation resulting from the Communications Act 2003, most commercial stations are now neither independent (although they remain independent from the BBC) nor local. Matthew Jonathan Darey (born 29 November 1968) is an English trance music producer and performer. Darey has sold over two million albums and singles with numerous top 10 and top 20 chart hits.
