''Passages'' () is a 1996 Spanish crime thriller film written and directed by Daniel Calparsoro which stars Najwa Nimri. Plot Lesbian petty criminal and gang member Gabi tries to woo older Carmina into becoming her lover and crime partner. Cast Production The film is an El Deseo (Agustín Almodóvar) production. Shooting locations included Pasaia and Errenteria. Release The film premiered at the Directors' Fortnight parallel section of the Cannes International Film Festival. It was released theatrically in Spain on 22 November 1996. Daniel Calparsoro
Daniel Calparsoro López-Tapia (born 11 May 1968) is a Spanish filmmaker, considered one of Spain's most adept action film directors. Biography Daniel Calparsoro López-Tapia was born in Barcelona on 11 May 1968, although he was raised in between Hondarribia and San Sebastián, in Gipuzkoa. He studied Political Science in Madrid simultaneously with filmmaking studies, the latter of which he further advanced in New York. From 1995 to 2000, he was married to actress and singer Najwa Nimri. He married actress Patricia Vico circa 2006. Errenteria
Errenteria (, ) is a town located in the province of Gipuzkoa in the Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Autonomous Community, in the north of Spain, near the French border. The river Oiartzun (river), Oiartzun cuts its way through the town, one that has undergone severe pollution up to recent times on its lower stage. History The town was founded in 1320, during the reign of Alfonso XI of Castile, with the name of ''Villanueva de Oiarso'' or ''Oyarço''.
