Pashtun Question
The "Pashtun question", sometimes referred to as the "Pashtunistan question", was the issue in Afghan politics regarding the demand by Afghanistan and Pashtun nationalists for the creation of an independent Pashtunistan comprising Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province (NWFP), the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Balochistan and both the North-West Frontier Province and the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas (PATA). The issue dominated Afghanistan's foreign policy regarding Pakistan up until the overthrow of President Mohammad Najibullah’s government in 1992. Afghanistan, officially the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, is a landlocked country located at the crossroads of Central Asia and South Asia. Khudai Khidmatgar
Khudai Khidmatgar () was an Indian, predominantly Pashtun, nonviolent resistance movement known for its activism against the British Raj in colonial India; it was based in the country's North-West Frontier Province (present-day Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan). Also called ''Surkh Posh'' or "Red Shirts" or "red-dressed", this was originally a social reform organisation focusing on education and the elimination of blood feuds. it was known as the ''Anjuman-e-Islah-e Afghania'' (society for the reformation of Afghans/Pashtoons). Datakhel
Datakhel () or Datta Khel is a town in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is part of Datta Khel Tehsil of North Waziristan district. Overview and history Datakhel is located around 41 km South West of near by towns of Miran Shan and 21 km of Boya in North Wizaristan. According to the 2017 census, the population of Datakhel, is 1037 with total number of household stands at 171. On Sept 25, 2008, as an indication of escalating tensions between nations, Pakistani forces fired warning shots at American aircraft after they crossed into Pakistan's territory in the area of Saidgai, in North Waziristan's Datakhel region. North Waziristan District
North Waziristan District (, ) is a district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. It is the northern part of Waziristan, a mountainous region of northwest Pakistan, bordering Afghanistan and covering . The capital city of North Waziristan is Miranshah. Overview and history North Waziristan comprises the area west and south-west of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between the Kurram River (Tochi) to the north and the Gomal River to the south. Pakistanis
Pakistanis (, ) are the citizens and nationals of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Pakistan is the fifth-most populous country, with a population of over 241.5 million, having the second-largest Muslim population as of 2023. As much as 85-90% of the population follows Sunni Islam. Pashtunistan () or Pakhtunistan is a historical region on the crossroads of Central Asia, Central and South Asia, located on the Iranian Plateau, inhabited by the Pashtuns, Pashtun people of southern and eastern Afghanistan and northwestern Pakistan, wherein Pashtun culture, the Pashto, Pashto language, and identity have been based.
