''Anari'' is a 1959 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The film stars Raj Kapoor, Nutan, Motilal and Lalita Pawar. The music was by Shankar Jaikishan and the lyrics by Hasrat Jaipuri and Shailendra. This was among the few films in which Lalita Pawar played a positive role and Motilal a role with shades of grey. Inder Raj Anand
Inder Raj Anand (died 6 March 1987) was an Indian film dialogue and screenwriter in Hindi cinema, who worked on many Raj Kapoor films, starting with ''Aag (1948 film), Aag'' (1948), ''Aah (film), Aah'' (1953), ''Anari (1959 film), Anari'' (1959) and ''Sangam (1964 Hindi film), Sangam'' (1964). While formally referred to as a writer for Hindi films, he was actually an Urdu literature, Urdu writer, writing his scripts and dialogues in Urdu. He was father to actor-director Tinnu Anand and producer Bittu Anand. Inder's grandson is noted film director Siddharth Anand (''Salaam Namaste'' (2005) and ''Anjaana Anjaani'' (2010)). Gemini Ganesan
Ramasamy Ganesan (17 November 1920 – 22 March 2005), better known by his stage name Gemini Ganesan, was an Indian actor who worked mainly in Tamil cinema. He was referred as Kaadhal Mannan (King of Romance) for his romantic roles in films. Ganesan was one of the "three biggest names of Tamil cinema", the other two being M. G. Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan. While Sivaji Ganesan excelled in Drama (film and television), dramatic films and M. G. Ramachandran was popular as an action hero, Gemini Ganesan was known for his Romance film, romantic films. A recipient of the Padma Shri in 1971, he had also won several other awards including the Kalaimamani, the MGR Gold Medal, and the Screen Lifetime Achievement Award. Vedha (S. S. Vedhasalam) was an Indian composer who started working in Sinhala films during the early 1950s when they were being produced in Chennai, Madras. Then he worked mainly in Tamil films. He was active in the field for about 25 years since 1952. He composed music for many films produced by Modern Theatres. He was popularly known to adapt Hindi tunes to Tamil songs. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as '' Ponniyin Selvan'' and '' Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Singer Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, guru of M S Subbulakshmi, and music critic S V Seshadri were also involved with the magazine in its coverage of music. Kalki Krishnamurthy also edited the magazine, which is published on a weekly basis. During his term the magazine was much more respected due to its quality. Nageshwaran Rao (born Cheyur Krishnarao Nageshwaran; (27 September 1933 – 31 January 2009) was an Indian actor and comedian mostly remembered for his comic roles in Tamil films during the 1960s. Nagesh was born in Dharapuram. He acted in over 1,000 Cinema of India, films from 1958 to 2008, performing in a variety of roles as comedian, lead roles, supporting actor and antagonist.
