Parviz Hadi Basmenj ( fa, پرویز هادی باسمنج; born 16 November 1987 in Basmenj, East Azerbaijan, Iran), is an Iranian wrestler. He became Pahlevan of Iran in the 2014/2015 competition. Basmenj ( fa, باسمنج; also Romanized as Bāsmenj; also known as Bāsmej and Bāsmīnj) is a city in the Central District of Tabriz County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 10,736 in 2,873 households. The following census in 2011 counted 11,190 people in 3,283 households. 2020 Asian Wrestling Championships
The 2020 Asian Wrestling Championships was held at the KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium, Indira Gandhi Arena, New Delhi in India. The event took place from 18 to 23 February. China was barred from entering into the competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. North Korea and Turkmenistan were unable to participate in the tournament due to circumstances stemming from the outbreak. Wrestling World Cup is an international wrestling competition among teams representing member nations of the United World Wrestling (UWW) the sport's global governing body. The cups have been conducted by FILA (the UWW predecessor) every year since the 1973 tournament. The World Cup began as a dual-meet competition for the top teams on each continent, but now features the top teams in the rankings of the previous year's world championships.
