Party Of The Vlachs Of Macedonia
The Party of the Vlachs of Macedonia (PVM; , ; , ), sometimes simply referred to as the Party of the Vlachs or the Vlach Party (; ), is one of the two political parties in North Macedonia representative of the Aromanian minority of the country, the other being the Democratic Union of the Vlachs of Macedonia (DSVM). It was founded in 2001 in Skopje by Mite Kostov Papuli (, ), who was also a member of several many other Aromanian organizations of North Macedonia. Papuli died in 2020, at age 61, as a result of COVID-19. In March 2020, the PVM joined the Renewal coalition, which includes parties such as VMRO-DPMNE. The Party of the Vlachs of Albania (PVSH; ), formerly known as the Alliance for Equality and European Justice (, ; ) is a political party of Albania representing the Aromanian minority of the country. The party was founded on 28 October 2011 in Durrës by a group of enthusiastic Aromanians led by Valentino Mustaka, the president of the party, and Koçi Janko ( and in Aromanian). The Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia is the unicameral legislature of North Macedonia. According to the Constitution, the Sobranie represents the people and is vested with legislative power. It can have between 120 and 140 MPs (currently 120), elected by proportional representation from 6 electoral districts, each contributing 20 MPs, and there are also 3 reserved seats elected from the Macedonian diaspora which are awarded only if the voter turnout was sufficient. Aromanian National Day
The Aromanian National Day () is the national day of the Aromanians, an ethnic group of the Balkans scattered in Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, North Macedonia, Romania and Serbia. It is normally celebrated by Aromanians from various countries in which they are native and also by the Aromanian diaspora, but many Aromanians of Greece do not observe it. Stevo Pendarovski (, ; born 3 April 1963) is a Macedonian politician who served as the President of North Macedonia from 2019 to 2024. Early life and education Stevo Pendarovski was born on 3 April 1963 in Skopje. His family originates from Galičnik. He grew up in post-earthquake Skopje. His parents were teachers. The Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization – Democratic Party for Macedonian National Unity (), abbreviated as VMRO-DPMNE (), is a conservative and the main centre-right to right-wing political party in North Macedonia. The Aromanians () are an Ethnic groups in Europe, ethnic group native to the southern Balkans who speak Aromanian language, Aromanian, an Eastern Romance language.
