The Party Party of Rhode Island is a Rhode Island-based American political party founded in 2023 by broadcaster, entrepreneur, and theology professor Tony Jones. Campaigns Presidential nominees 2024 elections The Party submitted 1,000 signatures to the Rhode Island Secretary of State and was given the fourth spot on the Rhode Island presidential ballot. The party nominated Robby Wells for President of the United States and Tony Jones for Vice President of the United States. The party also nominated Jones as their presidential elector. Jones also ran as a candidate in the primary for Narragansett Town Council on September 10th. He finished with 2.2% of the vote. The 2024 United States presidential election in Rhode Island was held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, as part of the 2024 United States elections in which all 50 states plus the District of Columbia participated. Rhode Island voters chose electors to represent them in the Electoral College via a popular vote. The state of Rhode Island has four electoral votes in the Electoral College. A New England state, Rhode Island has not voted for a Republican candidate since 1984, when Ronald Reagan won in a 49-state landslide. It is a deeply blue state, being one of three states (along with Hawaii and Massachusetts) in 2020 to have every county vote for Democrat Joe Biden.
