''Partners in Crime'' is a 1961 British B movie, second feature ('B') crime film directed by Peter Duffell and starring Bernard Lee, Moira Redmond and John Van Eyssen. The screenplay was by Robert Banks Stewart, based on the 1918 Edgar Wallace novel ''The Man Who Knew (novel), The Man Who Knew''. It is part of the series of Edgar Wallace Mysteries films made at Merton Park Studios from 1960 to 1965. Plot The plot revolves around control of the soft drink company Cool Kups following the murder of the company chairman Harold Strickland. During the police investigation the company is temporarily controlled by Frank Merril. Peter Duffell
Peter Duffell (10 July 1922 − 12 December 2017) was an English film and television film director, director and screenwriter. Early life Duffell was born in Canterbury, Kent, in 1922. He was the only son of a broken marriage, which resulted in his attending a variety of schools in Kent and London, as his mother moved away to work and he was raised by his grandmother. With a strong academic bent and great enthusiasm for the arts, he studied at University of London, London University and then at Keble College, Oxford, Keble College, Oxford, where he took an honours degree in English language and literature. Walter de Gruyter GmbH, known as De Gruyter (), is a German scholarly publishing house specializing in academic literature. Richard Shaw (actor)
Richard Shaw (19 November 1920 – 11 April 2010) was an English actor remembered for appearing in the science fiction franchises '' Quatermass'' and ''Doctor Who'', as well as having a regular role as henchman Ryan in the children's series '' Freewheelers''. He was a regular face on British TV networks BBC and ITV. Shaw played many supporting roles, mostly British crime films, through the 50s, 60s and 70s. He locked the bunker, full of Nazis and their families, before it was filled with gasoline and grenades were dropped in during the last scenes of the Second World War movie '' The Dirty Dozen''. Ernest Clark MC (12 February 1912 – 11 November 1994) was a British actor of stage, television and film. Early life Clark was the son of a master builder in Maida Vale, and was educated nearby at St Marylebone Grammar School. After leaving school he became a reporter on a local newspaper in Croydon. He had always wanted to be an actor and when offered a job with the local rep, he took it and apart from six years in the army during World War II, during which he won the Military Cross, he remained in the profession. Nicholas John Smith (5 March 1934 – 6 December 2015) was an English comedian and actor. He appeared in the BBC sitcom ''Are You Being Served?'', playing Mr (Cuthbert) Rumbold, the manager of the fictional Grace Brothers department store.
