''Partisans 1941'' () is a real-time tactics video game developed by Alter Games and published by Daedalic Entertainment in 2020. Players control Soviet partisans fighting against invading German troops during World War II. Gameplay The game has many similarities to '' Commandos 2''. Players control a group of Soviet partisans during Operation Barbarossa, Nazi Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union. The enemy soldiers have cones of vision that the partisans must stay out of to maintain stealth. The partisans are equipped with tools for distraction and silent killing alongside more conventional and louder weapons. In contrast to ''Commandos 2'', this game features a resource management sub-game. The partisans don't start off fully equipped and have to scavenge weapons from their enemies. More partisans can be unlocked, each of whom has specialties. Development It was developed in Russia. Daedalic Entertainment released it on October 14, 2020. Alter Games released paid D ... Daedalic Entertainment GmbH is a German video game publisher and former video game developer, developer based in Hamburg. They developed various point-and-click adventure games. History Daedalic Entertainment was founded on 1 March 2007 in a small Hamburg office by chief executive officer (CEO) Carsten Fichtelmann and creative director Jan Müller-Michaelis. Prior to founding Daedalic, Fichtelmann was marketing director for German publisher DTP Entertainment. Shortly afterwards, the adventure game ''1½ Knights – In Search of the Ravishing Princess Herzelinde'' was developed, named after the same film. On 28 August 2009, the adventure game ''The Whispered World'' followed and the adventure title ''A New Beginning (video game), A New Beginning'', which focuses on climate change, was published on 8 October 2010. In 2011, the sequel to ''Edna & Harvey: The Breakout'' was released with the title ''Harvey’s New Eyes''. A year later, a new adventure named ''Deponia (video game) ...
