"Part I" is the first episode of the American streaming television series ''Obi-Wan Kenobi'', based on ''Star Wars'' created by George Lucas. It follows Obi-Wan Kenobi in a self-imposed exile on Tatooine a decade after the events of '' Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith'' (2005) as he monitors Luke Skywalker on Tatooine to ensure his safety. Obi-Wan Kenobi (miniseries)
''Obi-Wan Kenobi'' is an American space opera television miniseries produced by Lucasfilm for the streaming service Disney+. It is part of the ''Star Wars'' franchise. Set ten years after the Jedi Order was purged during the events of the film '' Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith'' (2005), the series follows surviving Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi who emerges from hiding to rescue the kidnapped Princess Leia from the Galactic Empire's Inquisitors. The ''Star Wars'' prequel trilogy, colloquially referred to as the prequels, is a series of epic space-opera films written and directed by George Lucas. It was produced by Lucasfilm Ltd. and distributed by 20th Century Fox. The trilogy was released from 1999 to 2005 and is set before the original ''Star Wars'' trilogy (1977–83), making it the first act of the Skywalker saga, despite being the second released. Michelle Rejwan (born March 8, 1982) is an American film producer and the Senior Vice-President of Live Action Development and Production for Lucasfilm. She produced the ''Star Wars'' film ''The Rise of Skywalker'', alongside Kathleen Kennedy and J. J. Abrams. A showrunner (or colloquially a helmer) is the top-level executive producer of a television series production who has creative and management authority through combining the responsibilities of employer and, in comedy or dramas, typically also the head writer, script and story editor.
