Joe Parratt
Joseph Beagle, also known as singer-songwriter Joey Parratt, is an English award-winning songwriter with various TV, radio and live performances to his name. He was founder member of The Flying Brix, No-one, Champion the Underdog, The (original) Beagles, Awful Racket, Cute Baby Monster and My Mate's Band all of which played almost exclusively his own original songs. In 1979, as founder member of The Flying Brix, along with John Ashton, David Bradbury, Mark Hamilton, Gary Taylor and his brother Andy Barratt, he recorded, produced and released "Black Colours" a limited edition 7-inch 33 rpm vinyl DIY EP with 9 original songs, distributed by Rough Trade Records and played by John Peel (of BBC, Radio One). John Parratt
John Parratt (24 March 1859 – 6 May 1905) was an English first-class cricketer, who played two matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club between 1888 and 1890. Born in Morley, Yorkshire, Parratt made his Yorkshire County Championship debut against Gloucestershire, at the Clifton College Close Ground in 1888. He scored 11 before being bowled by William Woof; and bowled nine overs for 12 and twenty two overs for 51 in a drawn game. His last match was against Liverpool and District in 1890. He did not bat in the first innings, being absent hurt and scored a duck in the second, but bowled ten overs and took the wicket of Henry Grayson for 12, as Yorkshire ran out winners by 73 runs. He was a useful all-rounder who was engaged by Leeds St. Johns C.C. in 1890, plus at Selkirk C.C., Werneth C.C. in 1887 and 1888, and he played for Morley C.C. in 1900 and 1901. George Watson "Peggy" Parratt (March 21, 1883 – January 3, 1959) was a professional football player who played in the "Ohio League" prior to it becoming a part of the National Football League. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Parratt played quarterback for the Shelby Blues, Lorain Pros, Massillon Tigers, Massillon All-Stars, Franklin Athletic Club of Cleveland, Akron Indians and the Cleveland Tigers between 1905 and 1916. Parratt threw the first legal forward pass in professional football history while playing for the Massillon Tigers on October 25, 1906. College career Parratt played college football at Case School of Applied Science, now known as Case Western Reserve University. During his time at Case, he became a 3-time All-Ohio college star. Tom Parratt (born 2 March 1986) is a Scottish professional footballer who most recently played for the Wilmington Hammerheads in the United Soccer League. Early life Parratt was born in Inverness, Scotland, but moved to the United States with his family at the age of three. Sir Walter Parratt (10 February 184127 March 1924) was an English organist and composer. Biography Born in Huddersfield, son of a parish organist, Parratt began to play the pipe organ from an early age, and held posts as an organist while still a child. He was child prodigy: on one occasion he played Bach's complete '' The Well-Tempered Clavier'' by heart, without notice, at age ten. From 1854 to 1861 he was an organist at St Paul's Church in his native town and, as successor to John Stainer, in 1872 at Magdalen College, Oxford, where he remained for ten years. From 1882 he held the post of organist of St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. He became Heather Professor of Music at Oxford University in 1908, taking over from Hubert Parry. Parrots, also known as psittacines (), are birds of the roughly 398 species in 92 genera comprising the order Psittaciformes (), found mostly in tropical and subtropical regions. The order is subdivided into three superfamilies: the Psittacoidea ("true" parrots), the Cacatuoidea (cockatoos), and the Strigopoidea (New Zealand parrots).
