Park Jin-yong
Park Jin-yong (born 17 November 1993 in Muju) is a South Korean luger. Park competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics for South Korea. In the men's doubles event he competed with Cho Jung-myung, finishing 18th. He was also a part of the South Korean relay team, which finished 12th. As of September 2014, Park's best performance at the FIL World Luge Championships is 23rd, in the 2013 Championships. Muju County
Muju County (''Muju-gun''), is a Administrative divisions of South Korea, county in North Jeolla Province (Jeollabuk-do), South Korea. Muju is known for its Muju Firefly Festival and is a tourist area. 2013–14 Luge World Cup
The 2013–14 Luge World Cup was a multi race tournament over a season for luge organised by the FIL. The season started on 16 November 2013 in Lillehammer, Norway and ended on 26 January 2014 in Sigulda, Latvia. After the World Cup, the athletes moved for two weeks to Sochi for the Luge event in the XXII Olympic Winter Games. The defending individual World Champions were Felix Loch and Natalie Geisenberger, both from Germany. Athletes from Germany dominated the 2012–13 World Cup season, as they were also the defending World Champions in Men's Double (Tobias Wendl/ Tobias Arlt) and Team relay. A luge () is a small one- or two-person sled on which one sleds supine (face-up) and feet-first. A luger begins seated, propelling themselves initially from handles on either side of the start ramp, then steers by using the calf muscles to flex the sled's runners or by exerting opposite shoulder pressure to the pod. Racing sleds weigh for singles and for doubles. Luge is also the name of an Olympic sport that employs that sled and technique. It is not to be confused with skeleton bob, which is also a single person tray-like sled in the Bobsleigh family, and the name of the sport that uses that sled, but which is designed for a running start, steering by shoulders and feet, and to be laid on face down and head first.
