Suicideboys
Suicideboys (stylized as $UICIDEBOY$) is an American hip hop duo from New Orleans, Louisiana. Formed in 2013 by cousins Scrim (stylized as $crim) and Ruby da Cherry, the duo initially rose to popularity on SoundCloud for their abrasive, self-produced beats, as well as their harsh lyrical content and themes prominently featuring substance abuse and suicidal ideation. They own and operate their own label, G*59 Records, under which all of their music is distributed by The Orchard. The duo is considered one of the most popular acts in the underground rap scene. After several years of solely releasing EPs and mixtapes, Suicideboys' debut studio album '' I Want to Die in New Orleans'' was released on September 7, 2018. Rap metal is a fusion genre that combines hip hop with heavy metal. It usually consists of heavy metal guitar riffs, funk metal elements, rapped vocals and sometimes turntables. Horrorcore
Horrorcore (also called shock rap, horror hip hop, horror rap, death hip hop, death rap, or murder rap) is a subgenre of hip hop music based on horror-themed and often darkly transgressive lyrical content and imagery. Its origins derived from certain hardcore hip hop and gangsta rap artists, such as the Geto Boys, who began to incorporate supernatural, the occult, and psychological horror themes into their lyrics. Other early originators and influences on the genre include Gravediggaz, Flatlinerz, Three 6 Mafia, Brotha Lynch Hung, Necro, and Kool Keith. "Antarctica" is a song by American hip hop duo Suicideboys, released on January 26, 2016 the lead single from their mixtape ''Dark Side of the Clouds'' (2016). It samples parts of " I Remember" by producers and DJs Deadmau5 and Kaskade. Controversy In September 2016, Deadmau5 accused Suicideboys of copyright infringement and claimed that they were "publicizing other people's intellectual property without consent". It was originally launched under Harris Publications in the spring of 2000 by Tom Beaujour and Brad Tolinski, who envisioned it as an American version of ''Mojo (magazine), Mojo''. After five issues, it was relaunched in late 2001 with a focus on heavy music. The magazine features both established acts and up-and-comers in heavy music. Publication history ''Revolver'' was originally conceived by Tom Beaujour and Brad Tolinski, whom both had experience working for the Harris Publications magazine ''Guitar World''.
