Parchamo
Parchamo (also Pharchamo, Parchemuche, Parchoma, Pachermo Peak or Pachhermo Peak) is a high trekking peak in the Rolwaling Himal mountain range of the Himalayas. It is located on the boundary between the Dolakha District and the Solukhumbu District of Nepal. The summit offers a view of Mount Everest, Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang with good visibility. On the north flank of Parchamo is the high Tashi Lapcha (Tesi Lapcha) pass, which leads from the Drolambao glacier in the west to the mountain village of Namche Bazaar in the east. North of the Tashi Lapcha pass rises the high Tengi Ragi Tau. To the south, a ridge leads from Parchamo to the Likhu Chuli. Alfred Gregory
Alfred Gregory FBIPP, FRPS (Hon) (12 February 1913 – 9 February 2010) was a British mountaineer, explorer and professional photographer. Likhu Chuli
Likhu Chuli, also known as Pig Pherago Shar, is a mountain in Nepal. Description Likhu Chuli is a glaciated summit on the southwest boundary of Sagarmatha National Park in the Nepalese Himalayas. It is set on the triple boundary point shared by the Dolakha District, Ramechhap District, and the Solukhumbu District. Precipitation runoff from the mountain's northeast slope drains into tributaries of the Dudh Koshi, whereas the south slope drains to the Likhu Khola, and the northwest slope drains to the Tamakoshi River via Rolwāliṅ Khola. Tengi Ragi Tau
Tengi Ragi Tau, also known as Agole, is a mountain in Nepal. Description Tengi Ragi Tau is a summit on the western boundary of Sagarmatha National Park in the Nepalese Himalayas. It is set on the border shared by the Dolakha District and the Solukhumbu District. Precipitation runoff from the mountain's east slope drains to the Bhotekoshi River, whereas the west slope drains to the Tamakoshi River via Rolwāliṅ Khola. Topographic relief is significant as the summit rises 1,400 metres (4,593 ft) above the Drolambao Glacier in , and 2,560 metres (8,400 ft) above Dig Tsho Lake in . Rolwaling Himal
Rolwāling Valley (), known as a ( Gaurishankar) rural municipality, is a section of the Himalayas in east-central Nepal along the Tibet border. Rolwaling Himal includes Melungtse 7181m and Melungtse II 7023m inside Tibet and Gaurishankar 7134m on the Nepal border with some 50 additional peaks over 6000m, all extending from the Nangpa La pass where the Mahalangur section begins, southwest to the Tamakosi River. The Labuche Himal section rises beyond the Tamakosi to the northwest. Rolwaling Himal is bounded on the south by the Rolwaling Valley which contain several small sherpa villages Tasi Nam, Simigau and Beding under rolwaling valley, Tasi Nam is the largest town of the area. First Ascent
In mountaineering and climbing, a first ascent (abbreviated to FA in climbing guidebook, guide books), is the first successful documented climb to the top of a mountain or the top of a particular climbing route. Early 20th-century mountaineers and climbers focused on reaching the tops of iconic mountains (e.g. the eight-thousanders) and climbing routes (e.g. the great north faces of the Alps) by whatever means possible, often using considerable amounts of aid climbing, and/or with large expedition style support teams that laid "siege" to the climb. As all the key tops were summited, the manner in which each top was reached became important, particularly the ability to complete the ascent without artificial aid, which is called free climbing. Namche Bazaar
Namche Bazaar (also Namche Bazar, Nemche Bazaar or Namche Baza; ) is a town (formally Namche Village Development Committee) in ward no 5 Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality in Solukhumbu District of Koshi Province in northeastern Nepal. It is located within the Khumbu area at at its low point, populating the sides of a hill. Most Sherpa in the tourism business hail from the Namche area. Namche is the main trading center and hub for the Khumbu region. At the 2001 census, it had a population of 1,647 people living in 397 individual households. Gyachung Kang
Gyachung Kang (, ''Gyāchung Kāng''; ) is a mountain in the Mahalangur Himal section of the Himalayas and is the highest peak between Cho Oyu (8,201 m) and Mount Everest (8,848 m). Cho Oyu
Cho Oyu ( Nepali: चोयु; ; ) is the sixth-highest mountain in the world at above sea level. Cho Oyu means " Turquoise Goddess" in Tibetan. The mountain is the westernmost major peak of the '' Khumbu'' sub-section of the Mahalangur Himalaya 20 km west of Mount Everest. The mountain stands on the China–Nepal border, between the Tibet Autonomous Region and Koshi Province. Just a few kilometres west of Cho Oyu is Nangpa La (5,716m/18,753 ft), a glaciated pass that serves as the main trading route between the Tibetans and the Khumbu's Sherpas. This pass separates the Khumbu and Rolwaling Himalayas.
