Parand
Parand () is a planned city in the Central District of Robat Karim County, Tehran province, Iran. Its toponym means "natural silk". History The city is intended to provide residences for the staff of Imam Khomeini International Airport, and to create a balance in the settlement pattern of Tehran, establish an appropriate environment to draw in the extra population of Tehran and offer an alternative to unsystematic settlements. Parand is expected to accommodate 483,000 people on 3,420 hectares of land. The plan was a well-planned city which responds to the community's needs. It aims to host low-income families (laborers’ and employees’ housing cooperatives) by providing low-priced residential units with bank loans thereby attracting various classes of people. In 2019, the city has not yet attained those goals. Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 (PS752/AUI752) was a scheduled international passenger flight from Tehran to Kyiv, operated by Ukraine International Airlines. On 8January 2020, the Boeing 737-800 flying the route was shot down by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) shortly after takeoff, killing all 176 occupants on board. Missiles were fired at the aircraft by the IRGC amidst heightened tensions between Iran and the United States. The incident occurred five days after the United States carried out the assassination of Qasem Soleimani and some hours after Iran retaliated with Operation Martyr Soleimani, in which the IRGC fired dozens of ballistic missiles on American forces; both the assassination and the missile strikes took place in Iraq. Freeway 7 (Persian: آزادراه ۷) (also known as ''Persian Gulf Highway''-آزادراه خلیج فارس) is a freeway in central Iran. It starts from Jahad Square at the south end of Kazemi Expressway and Azadegan Expressway in Tehran. Saveh
Saveh () is a city in the Central District of Saveh County, Markazi province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. It is about southwest of Tehran. History In the 7th century BC it was a stronghold of the Medes. During the Parthian rule of Persia, it was called Saavakineh, and was one of the main hubs of the empire. In the 11th century, it was a residence of the Daylamites and of the Seljuks. It was severely damaged by the Mongol invasion in the 13th century; it was restored during the Ilkhanids.
