The Swedish Parasport Federation and Swedish Paralympic Committee (), also known as Parasport Sweden (), is the umbrella organization for parasport in Sweden. It was formerly known as the Swedish Sports Organization for the Disabled and Swedish Paralympic Committee ( or ''SHIF/SPK'') and earlier the Swedish Sports Organization for the Disabled ( or ''SHIF''). The current name was adopted during a meeting in Malmö on 9 May 2015. It is the National Paralympic Committee in Sweden for the Paralympic Games movement. It's a non-profit organisation that selects teams, and raises funds to send Swedish competitors to Paralympic events organised by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). The organisation was founded in 1969, and became a member of the Swedish Sports Confederation the same year.About our organization

The Swedish Sports Confederation (, RF) is the umbrella organisation of the Sport in Sweden, Swedish sports movement founded in 1903. Through its member organisations, it has three million members in 22,000 clubs. Its present chair, since 2024, is Anna Iwarsson. The Swedish Sports Confederation has its offices at Idrottens hus (Stockholm), Idrottens hus by Skanstull in Stockholm. The Swedish Olympic Committee (SOC; (, SOK) is the Swedish National Olympic Committee (NOC). International Paralympic Committee
The International Paralympic Committee (IPC; ) is an international non-profit organisation and the global governing body for the Paralympic Movement. The IPC organizes the Paralympic Games and functions as the international federation for nine sports. Founded on 22 September 1989 in Düsseldorf, then part of West Germany, its mission is to "enable Paralympic athletes to achieve sporting excellence and inspire and excite the world". The Paralympic Games or Paralympics is a periodic series of international multisport events involving athletes with a range of disability, disabilities. There are Winter Paralympic Games, Winter and Summer Paralympic Games, which since the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, have been held shortly after the corresponding Olympic Games.
