Paralia, Achaea
Paralia (, ''Paralía'', meaning "beach") is a town and a former Communities and Municipalities of Greece, municipality in the municipality of Patras, Achaea, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Patras, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 11.978 km2. It is a suburb of Patras, about 6 km southwest of the city centre. The town population is about 5,400. It was a popular beach resort for residents of Patras area till mid '80s. The new Greek National Road 9 (Patras - Pyrgos) runs south of the town. The railway Patras - Pyrgos runs parallel to the coast, at about 200 m from the shore. Paralia, Pieria
Paralia (, ''Paralía'', meaning "beach") is a tourist seaside settlement and a former municipality in the eastern part of the Pieria regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Katerini, of which it is a municipal unit. The seat of the municipality was in Kallithea. The 2021 census reported a population of 928 for the community of Paralia, and 6,228 for the municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 24.344 km2, the community 1.849 km2. Paralia Katerinis actually translated "Beach of Katerini" and is the closest beach to the capital city of Katerini. Historical data The settlement was founded by fishermen after 1922. Its inhabitants were refugees from Cius in Asia Minor. At first, they settled in Thessaloniki. Some of them left and went to Davlia where the inhabitants welcomed them. Aspra Spitia (), is a town in the municipal unit Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra, in Boeotia, Greece. In 2021, its population was 1,676. History Aspra Spitia was founded in 1960, planned by Doxiadis Associates to house industrial workers for Aluminum of Greece's nearby aluminum plant. Its alternate name is "Paralia Distomou". Paralia Lygias
Lygia () is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Vartholomio, Elis, Greece. The community includes the villages Arkoudi, Glyfa, Ioniki and Paralia. Lygia is situated in the low hills of the southern part of the Kyllini peninsula, 3 km from the Ionian Sea. It is 4 km southeast of Kastro, 4 km east of Loutra Kyllinis and 4 km west of Vartholomio. Arkoudi is the westernmost village of the community, 4 km southwest of Lygia, on the coast near Loutra Kyllinis. Its population was 77 in 2001. Abdera () is a municipality in the Xanthi regional unit of Thrace, Greece. In classical antiquity, it was a major Greek ''polis'' on the Thracian coast. The ancient polis is to be distinguished from the municipality, which was named in its honor. The polis lay 17 km east-northeast of the mouth of the Nestos River, almost directly opposite the island of Thasos. Paralia Panteleimonos () is a settlement of the former municipal district of Panteleimonas, the former municipality of East Olympos, which belongs to the municipality of Dio-Olympos, and is one of the 16 total coast of the regional unit. It is about 36 km from Katerini, 56 km from Larissa and is southeast of the county. According to recent archaeological excavations in the area during the construction of the railway tunnel under the castle, were findings of ancient Greek town Ηράκλεια (Heracleia).
