''Coconut'' is the second studio album by Japanese girl group NiziU. It was released on July 19, 2023, through Epic Records Japan. The album has 10 tracks including the lead single, "Coconut", and three previously released singles. In addition, there are four bonus tracks on the album's limited edition version B. Background and release On May 10, 2023, JYP Entertainment announced that NiziU would release their second studio album, ''Coconut'', on July 19. The title of the group's second Japanese tour, NiziU Live With U 2023 "Coco! nut Fes.", was announced at the same time. The album's tracklist was revealed on June 18, including unit songs with lyrics written by the members (only included on limited edition B). NiziU
NiziU (; ) is a Japanese-Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment Japan through the reality-survival program '' Nizi Project'' (2020). The group is composed of nine members: Mako, Rio, Maya, Riku, Ayaka, Mayuka, Rima, Miihi, and Nina. NiziU debuted on December 2, 2020, with the release of their debut single " Step and a Step". Mayu Wakisaka
is a singer-songwriter, composer, and lyricist based in Tokyo, Japan. Mayu grew up in Osaka, Japan, and studied law at Kyoto University. In 2007, she quit law school to pursue her career as a singer-songwriter and moved to Los Angeles. MiSaMo (; stylized in all caps) is the first sub-unit of the South Korean girl group Twice formed by JYP Entertainment. The group consists of Twice's Japanese members, Momo, Sana, and Mina. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. A Digital Albums Chart based on download sales was established on November 19, 2016.
