Paolo Sirena
Paolo Sirena (born September 11, 1945 in Treviso) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a defender. He played for 10 seasons (216 games, 12 goals) in Serie A for Roma and Verona. His most memorable goal for Verona fans was a header in the 5-3 win over A.C. Milan on May 20, 1973. His younger brother Alessandro Sirena also played football professionally. To distinguish them, Paolo was referred to as Sirena I and Alessandro as Sirena II. After retirement he worked as a lawyer. Treviso ( , ; vec, Trevixo) is a city and ''comune'' in the Veneto region of northern Italy. The ("Italy Cup") is an annual knockout cup competition in Italian football organized by the FIGC until the 2009–10 season and the Lega Serie A ever since. History The beginning of the tournament was turbulent, due to the complexity of the participation of the teams in the tournament, since its inception in 1921, the Italian championship was divided into two groups. On the one hand the CCI Championship (Italian Football Confederation) and on the other the FIGC championship (Italian Football Federation). These two championships were not organized between them, so they could not manage the dates that allowed the normal course of the tournament.
