Biggs (known until 1 December 2013, as Panda Biggs) is a Portuguese basic cable and satellite television channel targeted to teens and youth from ages 15 to 24. History The services was initially set to be named Bute, later Biggs, but was later renamed Panda Biggs at the request of ERC. It was launched on 1 December 2009 on the NOS platform. It was targeted to children and teens from ages 8 to 14. It aired live-action shows, films, anime and cartoon shows. It also used to air archived programs from Canal Panda. Its design is very similar to that of YTV and Disney XD. On 1 June 2021, it was launched another Portuguese TV channel targeted to children called Panda Kids. Panda Kids is a Portuguese pay television channel launched in 2021 that mainly features cartoons and anime for children aged 6–12. It is operated by Dreamia, a joint venture between NOS and AMC Networks International Southern Europe. History Panda Kids was launched on 1 June 2021 in Portugal as a pop-up channel for children aged 6 to 9, taking over the kids animated programming from Biggs, which was refocused on live-action programming for teens and young adults. Panda Kids was also launched in Spain at the same time, as an evening block on Canal Panda, where it rather used Biggs on-air graphics of the time with live-action programming including TV series and reality shows for older children.
