Palmiro Di Dio (born 6 July 1985) is an Italian former football (soccer) defender. Palmiro Salas is a Guatemalan football coach best known for managing the Belize national football team during 2010 World Cup Qualification. Besides Guatemala, he has managed in Belize. As of 2018, Salas currently manages the San Pedro Pirates of the Premier League of Belize. Palmiro Serafini (27 February 1945 – 28 December 2013) was an Italian ski mountaineer and cross-country skier. Serafini was born in Pievepelago. Palmiro Togliatti
Palmiro Michele Nicola Togliatti (; 26 March 1893 – 21 August 1964) was an Italian politician and statesman, leader of Italy's Italian Communist Party, Communist party for nearly forty years, from 1927 until his death. Born into a middle-class family, Togliatti received an education in law at the University of Turin, later served as an officer and was wounded in World War I, and became a tutor. Described as "severe in approach but extremely popular among the Communist base" and "a hero of his time, capable of courageous personal feats", his supporters gave him the nickname ("the Best"). In 1930, Togliatti renounced Italian citizenship, and he became a citizen of the Soviet Union. Upon his death, Tolyatti, a Soviet city was named after him.
