Paliath Ravi Achan
Paliath Ravi Achan (born 12 March 1928) is a former Indian cricketer who represented Travancore-Cochin and Kerala in domestic first-class cricket. He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-pacer. Career He is the eldest male member of the Paliam royal family of Cochin. He did his B.Sc. at the Annamalai University in Chidambaram. Achan's Ranji Trophy debut came for Travancore-Cochin against Mysore in Thiruvananthapuram in 1952. It was Travancore-Cochin's second-ever Ranji match. He scored 43 in the match and was the team's highest scorer. When the Travancore-Cochin cricket team was renamed Kerala in 1957, after the formation of Kerala state, Achan played for Kerala. Ravi retired from domestic cricket at the age of 41. His career-high score is 70 which came in his last game against Madras in 1969, while his best bowling figures (6-34) came in 1960 against Andhra Pradesh. Chendamangalam
Chendamangalam (or Chennamangalam) is a small town and a panchayat in Paravur Taluk, Ernakulam district in the state of Kerala, India. Location It is about 23 km from Ernakulam. Chidambaram is a town and municipality in Cuddalore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, on the banks of the Vellar River where it meets the Bay of Bengal. The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA; ml, കേരളാ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് അസോസിയേഷന്) is the governing body of the game of cricket in the Kerala state of the Republic of India. It is affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India and governs the Kerala cricket team. Leg spin is a type of spin bowling in cricket. A leg spinner bowls right-arm with a wrist spin action. The leg spinner's normal delivery causes the ball to spin from right to left (from the bowler's perspective) when the ball bounces on the pitch. For a right-handed batsman, that is away from the leg side, and this is where it gets the name leg break. Leg spinners bowl mostly leg breaks, varying them by adjusting the line and length, and amount of side spin versus topspin of the deliveries. Leg spinners also typically use variations of flight by sometimes looping the ball in the air, allowing any cross-breeze and the aerodynamic effects of the spinning ball to cause the ball to dip and drift before bouncing and spinning or "turning", sharply. Tripunithura
Thrippunithura or Tripunithura (), is a prominent historical and residential region in the City of Kochi in Kerala, India.
