Palestinian Central Council
The Palestinian Central Council (PCC; ), also known as the PLO Central Council, is one of the institutions of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PCC makes policy decisions when the Palestinian National Council (PNC) is not in session, and acts as a link between the PNC and the PLO Executive Committee. The PCC serves as the intermediary body between the PNC and the EC. The PCC is chaired by the PNC chairman, and has increasingly eclipsed the PNC as the main decision-making body of the PLO. In 2018, the PNC transferred its legislative powers to the PCC, including powers to elect members of the EC. Palestine Liberation Organization
The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO; ) is a Palestinian nationalism, Palestinian nationalist coalition that is internationally recognized as the official representative of the Palestinians, Palestinian people in both the occupied Palestinian territories and the Palestinian diaspora, diaspora. It is currently represented by the Palestinian Authority based in the West Bank city of Al-Bireh. Rawhi Fattouh
Rawhi Fattuh (, also transliterated as Rauhi Fattouh; born 23 August 1949) is the current Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Chairman of Palestinian Legislative Council, having held the position since February 2020. He had previously held the same position in 2004, and for that reason he became the interim President of the Palestinian National Authority, President of the Palestinian Authority, following the death of Yasser Arafat on 11 November 2004, until 15 January 2005. Under Palestinian law, he held the Presidency only until elections were held. Palestinian Legislative Council
The Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) is the Unicameralism, unicameral legislature of the Palestinian National Authority, Palestinian Authority, elected by the Palestinians, Palestinian residents of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Palestinian Government Of 2009
The Second and Third Fayyad Governments or the Palestinian Government of May 2009 was a Palestinian government of the Palestinian National Authority led by Salam Fayyad from 19 May 2009 to 6 June 2013. Fayyad had been Prime Minister of the First Fayyad Government of June 2007. The Fayyad Government was the ''de jure'' government in the Palestinian Authority, though its control was confined to the West Bank Areas A and B, whereas Hamas formed the '' de facto'' Government in the Gaza Strip. The Second Fayyad Government comprised somewhere between 20 and 22 members depending on the consulted source. It resigned in February 2011, however due to disagreements of how to proceed, Fayyad continued to preside over a caretaker government.
