Palakkad North
Palakkad North is a region in Palakkad city consisting of the northern suburbs of the city. These areas can be treated as both commercial and residential areas of the city. Many of the institutions of the city forms part of Palakkad North. There is a North Police Station located on Market Road, Vadakkanthara. The Palakkad North Police Station was formed and opened in the year 1913. Kalpathy
Kalpathy or Kalpathi is a residential area in Palakkad city, Kerala, India. It is famous for the Viswanatha Swamy Temple, Palakkad, Viswanatha Swamy Temple, which is located along the banks of the Kalpathy river, one of the tributaries of the Bharathapuzha. Kalpathy is also famous for its agraharam, or traditional village. It is the first heritage village in Kerala. There are around 4 agraharams of Brahmins who migrated from Tamil Nadu so many years ago to Kalpathy. Many temples, other than the Viswanatha Swamy Temple, are also present here. The annual festival Kalpathi Ratholsavam is held here, with chariots as the main attraction. Palakkad Railway Colony
Palakkad Railway Colony, or Hemambika Nagar Railway Colony, is a residential colony of the employees of the Palakkad Railway Division of the Southern Railway zone. It is situated in Hemambika Nagar, one of the suburbs of the city, located about 9 km from the centre of the city. It is one of the colonies which are maintained and are under Southern Railway. The only school in Kerala under Southern Railway, Railway High School Palakkad is located inside the colony. Puthur is a residential area in the city of Palakkad, in the Palakkad district in the state of Kerala, India. Puthur is wards 12 and 13 of Palakkad Municipality.
