Palais Des Sports (Kallithea)
Kallithea Palais des Sports (Greek: Παλέ ντε Σπορ Καλλιθέας), is an indoor sporting arena that is located on the Greek island of Rhodes, in Faliraki, some 13 km away from Rhodes, Greece. The arena is mainly used to host basketball and volleyball games. The seating capacity of the arena is 3,400 people. History Kallithea Palais des Sports hosted the Final Four of the 2018 Greek Volleyball Cup. The Greek basketball club, AE Kallitheas Rodou, has used the arena to host its home games. Kallithea Palais des Sports became the home arena of the Greek professional basketball team Kolossos, of the Greek Basket League, prior to the 2019–20 season. When the arena opened in 2014, its original seating capacity was 820 people. Faliraki
Faliraki () is the primary seaside resort village on the Greek island of Rhodes, in the Dodecanese. It is situated on Faliraki Bay, on the northeastern coast, about 14 km south of the town of Rhodes and 10 km southeast of the airport. It is part of the municipal unit Kallithea. Tourism Faliraki is a popular tourist destination with a 5 km stretch of sand and 12 FEE Blue Flags. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. FIBA Champions League
The Basketball Champions League (BCL), also commonly known as the FIBA Champions League, is an annual professional basketball competition for European clubs, organised by FIBA. It is the top-level competition organised by FIBA Europe, therefore the champion participates in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Clubs qualify for the competition mostly based on performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. Although exceptional, some teams can be wildcarded. Each season consists of 32 teams. 2019–20 Greek Basket League
The 2019–20 Greek betshop.gr Basket League was the 80th season of the Greek Basket League, the top-tier level professional club basketball league in Greece. The season started in September 2019, and ended prematurely in March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 21 May 2020, after a vote that was held between the league's 14 teams, Panathinaikos was crowned the Greek basketball league's champion for the season, marking the club's 38th Greek championship. Greek Volleyball Cup
The Greek Volleyball Cup is organized by Hellenic Volleyball Federation and started in 1980–81 season. The competition was not held sometimes in the past for financial reasons . Olympiacos won the first Cup in 1981 and is the most successful club, having won the title 18 times. They are also the current Cup holders. In 1986–87 edition, teams from the 1st Division did not take part. In 1998, Final 4 was established. In the period 2003–07, Final 8 were held.
