Pakokku District
Pakokku District (, ; also Pagukku District) is a district of the Magway Division in central Myanmar (Burma). It is situated in northern part of Magwe Region. The administrative centre is the city of Pakokku. Pakokku is a largest city of Magway Division. It is also the 13th largest city of Burma (Myanmar). The townships of Pakokku District are Pakokku, Yesagyo, Pauk, Seikphyu, Myaing, Htilin, Saw and Gangaw. Geography Pakokku district is located between north latitude 20°45' and 21°50' and east longitudes 94°15' and 95°20'. Shan People
The Shan people (, , or , ), also known as the Tai Long (တႆးလူင်, ) or Tai Yai, are a Tai ethnic group of Southeast Asia. The Human Development Index (HDI) is a statistical composite index of life expectancy, Education Index, education (mean years of schooling completed and expected years of schooling upon entering the education system), and per capita income indicators, which is used to rank countries into four tiers of Human development (humanity), human development.
