Pakistanis in Bahrain comprise Pakistani people living as expatriates or immigrants in Bahrain and their locally born descendants. The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation estimates that the population of Pakistanis in Bahrain stands at 110,000 as of 31 December 2014. The Pakistani community maintains two schools, the Pakistan School, Bahrain (managed by parents elected board, Patron in chief- Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan) and Pakistan Urdu School which educates community youth. Manama ( ar, المنامة ', Bahrani pronunciation: ) is the capital and largest city of Bahrain, with an approximate population of 200,000 people as of 2020. Bahrain Defence Force
The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) is the military force of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Bahrain Defence Force is under direct command and leadership of a commander-in-chief who holds the rank of field marshal. The Government has a Minister of Defence Affairs responsible of BDF representation in the Cabinet. It numbers about 18,000 personnel and consists of the Royal Bahraini Air Force, Royal Bahraini Army, Royal Bahraini Navy and the Royal Guard. Apart from the BDF, the public security forces and the Coast Guard report to the Ministry of Interior. Embassy Of Pakistan, Manama
The Embassy of Pakistan, Kingdom of Bahrain is the diplomatic mission of Pakistan to The Kingdom of Bahrain. The embassy is located in the Diplomatic Area in Manama and as of April 2021 was headed by Ambassador Muhammad Ayub. Consular services The embassy diplomatically represents Pakistani interests in Bahrain, and provides services to Pakistani expatriates in the country, numbering over 80,000. Key consular services provided include visa provisions, passport services, document attestation, national identity card and citizenship documentation, and other paperwork. Bahrain–Pakistan Relations
Extremely strong and cordial relations exist between Bahrain and Pakistan. Bahrain maintains an embassy in Islamabad and a Consulate-General in Karachi, whilst Pakistan maintains an embassy in Manama. Both countries are members of the OIC and of the G 77. Mohammed Khalid
Sheikh Mohammed Khalid Ibrahim ( ar, محمد خالد إبراهيم , born 2 November 1964) is a Bahraini Islamist politician and a member of the Al-Menbar Islamic Society in Bahrain. He was an MP in the lower house of the Bahraini parliament, having been elected in the 2002 Bahrain parliamentary elections representing a constituency from the Northern Governorate. Khalid is a known outspoken critic of the Bahraini government over conservative issues such as the selling of alcohol. Adil Hanif (born 25 February 1978) is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the Bahrain national cricket team. Hanif is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. 2011 Bahraini Protests
The 2011 Bahraini uprising was a series of anti-government protests in Bahrain led by the Shia-dominant and some Sunni minority Bahraini opposition from 2011 until 2014. The protests were inspired by the unrest of the 2011 Arab Spring and protests in Tunisia and Egypt and escalated to daily clashes after the Bahraini government repressed the revolt with the support of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Peninsula Shield Force. Bahrain National Guard
The National Guard of Bahrain ( ar, الحرس الوطني) is separate military force from the Bahrain Defence Force. The National Guard is charged with internal security and assisting the Bahrain Defence Force in defending against external threats. It was established in 1997, through a royal decree by then Emir Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
