Pakistan Writers Guild
The Pakistan Writers Guild (Pākistān Rāʾiṭarz Gilḍ) is an association of writers and writers that was established on 29 January 1959 in Karachi under the chairmanship of Maulvi Abdul Haq and he became the first member of the association. Maulvi Abdul Haq
Maulvi Abdul Haq () (20 April 1870 – 16 August 1961) was a scholar and a linguist of the Urdu language, who some call ''Baba-e-Urdu'' (, ''Father of Urdu''). The main credit for the development and promotion of Urdu language in 20th century goes to him, because he devoted his entire life to Urdu, and also demanded for it to be made the national language of Pakistan. Early life He was deeply influenced by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan's political and social views, and, following his wishes, learned English and scientific subjects. Like Syed Ahmad Khan,Abdul Haq saw Urdu as a major cultural and political influence on the lives and identity of the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent. ''Dawn'' is a Pakistani English language, English-language newspaper that was launched in British Raj, British India by Muhammad Ali Jinnah in 1941. The Writers' Buildings or Mahakaran, often shortened to just Writers, was the official secretariat building of the Government of West Bengal, state government of West Bengal in Kolkata, India.
