Pakistan Muslim League (Jinnah)
The Pakistan Muslim League (Jinnah) (Urdu: پاکستان مسلم لیگ جناح) was a political party in Pakistan. It was one of the factions of the original Pakistan Muslim League, named after the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah. PML (Jinnah) was formed by Manzoor Wattoo in 1995 when they parted ways with Wattoo's cousin Hamid Nasir Chattha, who wanted to be the president of his own PML faction, PML (Junejo), which Wattoo was previously a part of. The differences cropped up in the same year when Wattoo was removed as the Punjab Chief Minister in the power struggle between the province (headed by PML-Junejo) and the center (headed by rival PPP), leading Arif Nakai another PML (Junejo) candidate to be the new Chief Minister. Pakistani nationalism refers to the political, cultural, linguistic, historical, religious and geographical expression of patriotism by the people of Pakistan, of pride in the history, heritage and identity of Pakistan, and visions for its future. General elections were held in Pakistan on 18 February 2008 to elect members of the 13th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. On 3 November 2007 President Pervez Musharraf enacted a state of emergency; elections were initially postponed indefinitely. However, it was later stated they would be held as planned. Sardar Muhammad Arif Nakai () was a Pakistani politician who served as the 12th Chief Minister of Punjab. Early life He was born into a Jat family of the Nakai Misl, one of the twelve Misls of the Sikh Confederacy. His great-grandfather, Sardar Ishar Singh Nakai, was born a Sikh and converted to Islam in 1879. Sardar Ishar Singh was the youngest son of Sardar Kahan Singh Nakai, the ruler of the Nakai Misl.
