Padina, Kardzhali Province
Padina () is a village in Ardino Municipality, Kardzhali Province, southern-central Bulgaria, located in a valley at the foot of Mount St. Elias (1001m). It is located from Sofia, southwest of Ardino, and by road south of Byal izvor. It covers an area of 10.411 square kilometres and as of 2007 had a population of 1030 people, although the population is rapidly declining and 851 were reported in 2010. Padina has a continental Mediterranean climate, with a climate which is characterized by mild, humid winters and hot, dry summers. Crops include tobacco and potatoes, and small areas are favorable for growing sugar beets, strawberries and some vegetables ( tomatoes, Bell pepper, peppers, beans, etc.). Padina (; ) is a village in Serbia in the municipality of Kovačica. Majority of the population are Slovaks (96.78%). Geography and climate Padina lies in the middle of South Banat, at the border of Deliblato's shoal, on 52.75 km2, and in a southeast-northwest course. Geographical width of village is 45°7' N and 20°44' E. Altitude is between 105 and 120 meters above sea level (the church is on 111 m). Its name means ''slope'' or ''downhill''. Padina covers 13% of Kovačica municipality, that is parting of the ways of roads to Belgrade, Zrenjanin, Novi Sad and Vršac. Padina ( sr-Cyrl, Падина) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Zvezdara. After one of the central streets, it is also called Vojvoda Vlahović, but is also referred to as Braće Jerković II, because it makes urban connection to it. The gully ends in the indentation forming the east corner of Emona Anchorage, and located 3.15 km northeast of Hespérides Point 1.21 km south-southeast of Aleko Point.
