Padel
Padel ( es, Pádel) is a racket sport typically played in doubles on an enclosed court slightly smaller than a doubles tennis court. Scoring is the same as normal tennis, and the balls used are similar but with a little less pressure. The main differences are that the court has walls and the balls can be played off them in a similar way as in the game of squash and that solid, stringless bats are used. The height of the ball being served must be at or below the waist level. Padel is different from the sport known in Canada and the United States as paddle tennis. It is also not to be confused with platform tennis, a winter and summer sport typically played at country clubs in Canada and the US, with courts heated from below to eliminate snow and water. International Padel Federation
The Federación Internacional de Pádel (English: International Padel Federation) is the world governing body for the sport padel, founded in 1991 in Madrid by the Argentinian, the Spanish and the Uruguayan Federation legal representatives. It is a non-profit making organisation whose goal is to promote all forms of padel around the world. It organizes the Padel World Championship for male and female players. The FIP administers the men's professional circuit and rankings, while a separate governing body, the , organises a tour of the same name with men's and women's events and its own rankings system. Roberta Vinci
Roberta Vinci (; born 18 February 1983) is an Italian professional padel and former tennis player. In doubles tennis, she won five major tournaments and reached the world No. 1 position. She also reached a career-high ranking of world No. 7 in singles, in May 2016. She is the fourth Italian woman to have reached the top 10 in singles, after Flavia Pennetta, Francesca Schiavone and Sara Errani. At 33 years and 4 days old, she became the oldest player ever to debut in the top 10. Vinci rose to worldwide prominence at the 2015 US Open, when she reached the singles semifinals and defeated world No. 1, Serena Williams, in three sets, ending her hopes of achieving the Grand Slam, in what has been described by commentators as one of the greatest upsets in tennis history. Paddle Tennis
Paddle tennis, rebranded as Pop tennis in 2015, is a game adapted from tennis and played for over a century. Compared to tennis, the court is smaller and has no doubles lanes, and the net is lower. Paddle tennis is played with a solid paddle as opposed to a strung racquet, and a depressurized tennis ball is used. The same court is used for both singles and doubles, with doubles being the dominant form of play. The Costa del Sol (literally "Coast of the Sun" or "Sun Coast") is a region in the south of Spain in the autonomous community of Andalusia, comprising the coastal towns and communities along the coastline of the Province of Málaga and the eastern part of Campo de Gibraltar in Cádiz.
