The Pacific Netball Series is an annual netball competition organised by the Oceania Netball Federation. This is played by the top four non elite teams in the INF World Rankings. The first competition was hosted by Samoa in 2009 Pacific Netball series, 2009. Cook Islands national netball team, Cook Islands won the inaugural tournament with hosts Samoa national netball team, Samoa second. Papua New Guinea national netball team, Papua New Guinea was third. Oceania Netball Federation
The Oceania Netball Federation is the regional body within the International Federation of Netball Associations that governs netball across Oceania. The current president is Wainikiti Bogidrau from Fiji. There are currently twenty four countries within the Oceania region. There are seven full members with New Zealand national netball team, New Zealand the only one with elite status. Realistically only thirteen nations, predominantly Member states of the Commonwealth of Nations, Commonwealth nations, play the game. Netball is a ball sport played on a rectangular court by two teams of seven players. The primary objective is to shoot a ball through the defender's goal ring while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own. The 2024 Pacific Netball series was held in Brisbane Australia between 10 and 15 June 2024. The tournament was won by Tonga over Fiji. Even though the Indigenous Australia team topped the table, they were ineligible to play in the Grand Final as they are not an official International team. 2023 Netball World Cup Qualification – Oceania
The Oceania Netball World Cup Qualifiers was held on July 19-23, 2022. The event was hosted by Fiji and took place in Suva where the hosts welcomed Tonga, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, and the Cook Islands.
