Pac-In-Time
is a 1995 Platformer, platform video game developed by Kalisto Entertainment, Atreid Concept and published by Namco for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy. It is a rebranded version of a 1993 game, ''Fury of the Furries'', also developed by Kalisto, to feature Pac-Man (character), Pac-Man. It was also released for MS-DOS and Mac OS, where the original game was released. This game was an offshoot from the normal variety of ''Pac-Man'' games, in that it does not confine Pac-Man to a maze-like board. Rather, the player controls Pac-Man through various Side-scrolling video game, side-scrolling levels, obtaining many different items along the way; the plot does take elements from the earlier ''Pac-Man'' games, such as the objective to collect a certain number of pellets before exiting a level. ''Pac-Man,'' originally called in Japan, is a 1980 maze video game developed and published by Namco for arcades. In North America, the game was released by Midway Manufacturing as part of its licensing agreement with Namco America. The player controls Pac-Man, who must eat all the dots inside an enclosed maze while avoiding four colored ghosts. Eating large flashing dots called "Power Pellets" causes the ghosts to temporarily turn blue, allowing Pac-Man to also eat the ghosts for bonus points. Game development began in early 1979, led by Toru Iwatani with a nine-man team. Iwatani wanted to create a game that could appeal to women as well as men, because most video games of the time had themes that appealed to traditionally masculine interests, such as war or sports. ''Fury of the Furries'' is a puzzle-platform game developed by Atreid Concept and published by Mindscape for Amiga, Amiga CD32, Macintosh, and DOS. It was later relicensed by Namco as ''Pac-In-Time'', replacing the characters to fit the Pac-Man franchise. Plot A group of Tinies return to their home planet after a voyage in space. Nicolas Gaume
Nicolas Gaume (born 7 February 1971) is a French entrepreneur. He is best known for leading various companies in the video game industry and founding Kalisto Entertainment, where he was the head of the company between 1990 and 2002. Gaume is the son of one of the hoteliers of Arcachon, and is the great-grandson of Louis Gaume, a real estate developer known for developing the Pyla in 1920. Atreid Concept In 1990, after dropping out of business school, Gaume and his friends founded his video game company, Atreid Concept, in Bordeaux. Atreid Concept was supported by Apple, whose CEO John Sculley was a former executive of the French Apple firm.
