Juan Pablo Torres Amaya, known by his stage name Pablo Ríos (26 June 1933 – 10 January 2006), was a Salvadoran romantic singer. Biography Juan Pablo Torres Amaya was born on 26 June 1933 in Guadeloupe, San Vicente, El Salvador. At the age of 13, he began his passion of singing to women, generally singing romantic boleros, ballads, and rancheros. He won first place at the Central American and Caribbean Song Festival three times in a row, winning the first with his song ''Odio''. To celebrate 50 years of his music, various radio stations and Channel 10 aired special programs with his music. Mejicanos is a district of San Salvador Centro municipality in the San Salvador department of El Salvador. Mejicanos is a city located in San Salvador Department and part of the San Salvador metropolitan area. At the 2009 estimate it had 160,751 inhabitants. It has been characterized by its typical food " Yuca Frita con Merienda". Bolero
Bolero is a genre of song which originated in eastern Cuba in the late 19th century as part of the trova tradition. Unrelated to the older Spanish dance of the same name, bolero is characterized by sophisticated lyrics dealing with love. It has been called the "quintessential Latin American romantic song of the twentieth century". Unlike the simpler, thematically diverse ''canción'', bolero did not stem directly from the European lyrical tradition, which included Italian opera and canzone, popular in urban centers like Havana at the time. Instead, it was born as a form of romantic folk poetry cultivated by a new breed of troubadour from Santiago de Cuba, the ''trovadores''. Pepe Sánchez is considered the father of this movement and the author of the first bolero, "Tristezas", written in 1883. Ballads
A ballad is a form of verse, often a narrative set to music. Ballads were particularly characteristic of the popular poetry and song of Great Britain and Ireland from the Late Middle Ages until the 19th century. They were widely used across Europe, and later in Australia, North Africa, North America and South America. Ranchera
Ranchera () or canción ranchera is a genre of traditional music of Mexico. It dates to before the years of the Mexican Revolution. Rancheras today are played in the vast majority of regional Mexican music styles. Drawing on rural traditional folk music, the ranchera developed as a symbol of a new national consciousness in reaction to the aristocratic tastes of the period. San Vicente () is a department of El Salvador in the center of the country. The capital is San Vicente. Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is the neoplasm, uncontrolled growth of cells in the prostate, a gland in the male reproductive system below the bladder. Abnormal growth of the prostate tissue is usually detected through Screening (medicine), screening tests, typically blood tests that check for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels. Those with high levels of PSA in their blood are at increased risk for developing prostate cancer. Diagnosis requires a prostate biopsy, biopsy of the prostate.
