Pablo Pavón Vinales
Pablo Pavón Vinales (born 27 August 1945) is a Mexican trade union leader and politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). Pavón Vinales was born in Minatitlán, Veracruz. He served in the Chamber of Deputies twice: during the 55th session of Congress (1991–1994), for Veracruz's 14th district, and during the 59th session (2003–2006), for Veracruz's 23rd district. He had previously served as a local deputy in the Congress of Veracruz from 1991 to 1994. Minatitlán, Veracruz
Minatitlán is a city in the List of states of Mexico, Mexican state of Veracruz. It is located in the southeastern part of the state, in the Olmeca Region, Olmeca region, to the north of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, along the Coatzacoalcos River. In 2010 the greater metropolitan area had a population of 356,020. Minatitlán is home to the ''Refinería Gral. Lázaro Cárdenas del Río'' (now named for President Lázaro Cárdenas) a 1906 oil refinery that was the first such facility built in Latin America. The refinery underwent an expansion that started in 2003 to bring the capacity of the plant up to 240,000 barrels per day, up from its previous capacity of 185,000 barrels per day. It is a sister city of Minatitlán, Colima, Minatitlán, in the state of Colima, on the other side of the country. The local economy is largely dependent on the oil industry and trade. A ''presidente municipal'' ( English: "municipal president") is the chief of government of municipios in Mexico. This title was also used in the Philippines during the Spanish and American colonial periods; it is comparable to a mayor of the town or city. The Institutional Revolutionary Party (, , PRI) is a List of political parties in Mexico, political party in Mexico that was founded in 1929 as the National Revolutionary Party (, PNR), then as the Party of the Mexican Revolution (, PRM) and finally as the PRI beginning in 1946.
