''Pabitra Papi'' (English:''Divine Sinner'') is a 1997 Indian Bengali action drama film directed by Anup Sengupta. Prosenjit Chatterjee, Soumitra Chatterjee, Rituparna Sengupta, Abhishek Chatterjee and Rabi Gosh portrayed the central characters. The film is noted for being one of the several films from Prosenjit-Rituparna duo. The film has musical score by Anupam Dutta. The film is heavily based on the 1988 Tamil film En Thangachi Padichava. Plot Bhola, a poor villager, strives for the welfare of his village. Rajib, an evil ''zamindar'' who aspires to open a liquor factory in the village schemes to seize the land of the villagers which however is successfully spoiled by Bhola. He is further infuriated by the news of Bhola's sister, Sudha, organising the villagers to fight against his atrocities. ''En Thangachi Padichava'' () is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by P. Vasu. The film stars Prabhu, Rupini and Chithra. The film, produced by Mohan Natarajan and Tharangai V. Shanmugam, had musical score by Gangai Amaran and was released on 15 July 1988. The film completed a 100-day run at the box-office. It was remade in Telugu as '' Muddula Mavayya'' (1989), in Hindi as ''Aaj Ka Arjun'' (1990), and in Kannada as '' Ravimama'' (1999). Robi Ghosh ( bn, রবি ঘোষ) (24 November 1931 – 4 February 1997) was an Indian actor known for his work in Bengali cinema. He is known for his comic appeal, though his versatile acting talent brought him success in various kinds of roles.
