Paatsalu
Paatsalu is a village in Lääneranna Parish, Pärnu County, in southwestern Estonia, on the coast of the Gulf of Riga. It had a population of 73 on 1 January 2011. The southeastern part of the village is covered by Paadrema Nature Reserve, also part of Nehatu Nature Reserve is located around the Kahvatu Bay. Counties ( et, maakond, plural ') are the first-level administrative subdivisions of Estonia. Estonian territory is composed of 15 counties, including 13 on the mainland and 2 on islands. A municipality ( et, omavalitsus, plural ) is the smallest administrative subdivision of Estonia. Each municipality is a unit of self-government with its representative and executive bodies. The Gulf of Riga, Bay of Riga, or Gulf of Livonia ( lv, Rīgas līcis, et, Liivi laht) is a bay of the Baltic Sea between Latvia and Estonia. Paadrema Nature Reserve is a nature reserve situated in south-western Estonia, in Pärnu County. The nature reserve of Paadrema is centred on Paadrema fen, surrounded by old-growth forest and swamps.
