All Star Weekend is a major professional wrestling event produced by Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). It is a two-night event which is held during the weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Dates, venues and main events Results All Star Weekend 1 ;Background On March 24, 2005, PWG announced that the two-night All Star Weekend event would take place on April 1 and April 2. ;Storylines A four-way dance was scheduled to take place between AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, El Generico and Kevin Steen at the All Star Weekend, to determine the #1 contender for the PWG Championship, but it was pushed back to ''The Ernest P. Worrell Memorial'', with the winner scheduled to face Super Dragon for the title later in the main event. Tony Stradlin was originally supposed to be Dragon's challenger for the title but Stradlin signed a developmental contract with WWE, thus forcing him to leave PWG. Pro Wrestling Guerrilla
Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Los Angeles, California. As of 2024, it is on an extended hiatus. It was created by pro wrestlers Disco Machine, Excalibur, Scott Lost, Joey Ryan, Super Dragon, and Top Gun Talwar. Since then, Disco, Talwar, Ryan and Lost have retired and left the company. The promotion debuted on July 26, 2003, and became known for its unique mix of humor and pro wrestling as well as their over-the-top press releases and show titles, such as "''Kee_ The _ee Out of Our _ool!''", "''Free Admission (Just Kidding)''", "''Straight to DVD''" and "''From Parts Well Known''". In 2016, Dave Meltzer of the ''Wrestling Observer Newsletter'' called PWG "the best wrestling in North America". Rick John Clements is an American Screen and Television Writer, Voice Actor, former Professional Wrestler, born and bred in beautiful California. In wrestling, he performed under the ring name Quicksilver, and he was part of the independent circuit, working for promotions such as Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) and SoCal Uncensored. The Kings Of Wrestling
The Kings of Wrestling was a professional wrestling stable that worked on the independent circuit. It was formed in Chikara as a large stable, but also appeared in numerous promotions mainly as a tag team of Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli. Hero's manager Larry Sweeney and valet Sara Del Rey were also part of the group at differing times. The group also comprised Icarus and Gran Akuma who teamed separately as Team F.I.S.T. (Friends in Similar Tights) as well as Arik Cannon, Mitch Ryder, Max Boyer, Chuck Taylor and Shayne Hawke. The name is most commonly associated with the tag team of Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli. Benito "Benny" Cuntapay (born December 29, 1978) is a Filipino American professional wrestler better known by his ring name, B-Boy.
